Hetalia 30 Day Challenge: Day 2

Day 2: Least favorite character

France. It’s not that I don’t like him, but his pervy/rapist-ness kinda scares me and irritates me sometimes. Although he is pretty funny.

Hm. Just curious.

When is it stated again that he’s a rapist? I mean, because as an avid fan, I’d really like to know because it seems I’ve missed something.

Talk about being irritated, gosh, let me tell you how irritated I am that I’m unaware of some stated facts about France.

To be honest, I’m not exactly sure when or if it was said in the anime or manga, but it’s just part of his nature, I guess. But with the Bad Touch/Friends Trio, Prussia is the pervert, Spain is the pedo, and France is the rapist. Sooo yeah, I’m not sure if it was officially stated.

I’m sorry, no where in the manga or anime does Hima-Papa or anyone in the animation production said or confirmed that the members of the Bad Touch Trio are Perverts, Pedophiles or Rapists. The last two of these terms are not to be tossed around so lightly either.

So Prussia invades “Vital Regions”… last time I checked, it was only Austria’s. And even so, if he was such a “pervert”, don’t you think he would’ve had his way with Hungary when he found her in the forest with a broken shirt? No, he instead offered her part of his clothing to cover up and left. Blushing in embarrassment. Yeah, what a perv. Even the history books back this up, you know. Prussia was founded by the Teutonic Knights (those are the knights that fought for God, btw). Yes, he might be a cocky, arrogant, immature punk …but not a perv. If you were to call every country who has invaded “vital regions” a pervert, that would make over half of the countries in the world perverts. Think about it. Every war starts with an invasion in any shape of form. Germany invaded many countries. Russia has invaded many countries. Even America has invaded. (yes, even the Hero).

As for Spain, where does it say that he is a “pedophile”? Do you even know the meaning of that word? Here, just in case:

        “As a medical diagnosis, pedophilia, or paedophilia, is defined as a psychiatric disorder in adults typically characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children (generally age 13 years or younger, though onset of puberty may vary).”

Last I checked, his only interest in Romano (or Italy) is having an underling to do all his housework. Even on the episode where he was given Romano, he prances around singing “I have an underling~ I have an underling~”, not “I have a boyfriend~ I have a boyfriend~” Sure, some of us ship Spamano …but as two adults. Pedophilia is a serious psychiatric disorder and should not be joked around with.

And France. Poor France. The Country of LOVE. Why would someone so devout to the ideals of Love do something so …radical as taking someone else’s body by force and without love? He is very adamant on how making love is an art, and that it should be that: Making Love. All he talks about is Love. Sure, there is that episode where he drags England away …but where does it state that it was to rape him?

See? All these accusations by part of the fandom (thankfully, the other part is a little more sensible) would be easily avoided if they took their minds out of the gutter! Why does everything in this fandom have to revolve around sex?! This fandom has such potential to become something so much more …beautiful. It has so far brought people from all walks of life together to celebrate diversity. Well, some of them do. Others are apparently too busy thinking about Character X fucking Character Y, or Character Y trying to avoid getting raped by Character Z. Really? We can do much better than that, people. There is a reason this anime and manga are rated 18 & up …it takes mature minds to truly appreciate this fandom.

I’m comparing the speed of which humans communicate in todays world vs the 1900’s. This experiment is going to last three days, so from today, Saturday March 24th, 12AM EST, to Monday 11:59PM EST.

I am taking into account my amount of follows now (188) and how many I will have on Monday. I will reblog this myself once per day. I have a guess at how many reblogs this will get but I will keep that a secret for now.
